Natalio Grueso

Natalio Grueso is the Director General of the “Niemeyer Center Foundation” which manages the “Niemeyer Center” (“Centro Niemeyer”), the cultural complex in Spain designed by the legendary Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer.

He was previously Director of International Relations at the Prince of Asturias Foundation. This institution, presided over by HRH Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Prince of Asturias, is aimed at promoting and supporting all those cultural, scientific and social activities which form the world heritage.

During his term as Director of Inter-regional Cooperation at the European Commission, he managed some 250 cooperation programmes in more than 40 countries, including, but not limited to, programmes in the Middle East (Israel and Palestine), South America (Mercosur), Central and Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria).

In his position as the Managing Director of DEX, Ltd. an international consultancy company, Mr. Grueso led several business missions in the Far East, including China, India, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan.

He has been a consultant to several international institutions including the United Nations and Eurostat.

A graduate in Law & International Relations, he has been invited as speaker in conferences and seminars in more than 50 countries worldwide.
